La Sonora presents CUEVA DE LA CUMBIA
La Sonora is taking over Library Nineteen to bring you CUEVA DE LA CUMBIA - an underground cumbia fest featuring Yeison Landero, San Jacinto’s heredero de la cumbia, bringing live cumbia sabanera straight from Colombia to the dancefloor. Joining the lineup are Soroche, a Baltimore-based band mixing cumbia, ska, punk, and folk with tambora, poetic lyrics, and a rebellious energy that transmogrifies modern and traditional sounds into a cultural border-crossing danceable alchemy and La Bodoquita, a Mexican-American vinyl selector DJ known for eclectic, all-vinyl sets across cumbia, Latin American rock, soul, and doo-wop. Each set is curated with one goal: moving the dance floor and bringing people together. She’ll be spinning all-vinyl sonidera selects to keep your body moving.
